Terms and Conditions for Personal Ledger

These Terms apply to the Personal Ledger Android application, including updates and related features made available by MosTech Zone. They do not identify a specific app version so that routine App updates do not require a new Terms page.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) form an agreement between you and MosTech Zone (Moshahed) (“MosTech Zone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning your download, installation, access to, and use of the Personal Ledger Android application (the “App”).

By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Personal Ledger Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Any purchase made through Google Play is also governed by applicable Google Play terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. The App is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law. A minor may use the App only with any permission and supervision required from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Description of the App

Personal Ledger is an offline-first personal record-keeping tool that may help users organize income, expenses, money-source accounts, transfers, assets, liabilities, loans, investments, budgets, recurring transactions, Fund Ledger activity, receipt attachments, financial histories, and related records. The App may also provide PDF/CSV reports, business-branded reports, reminders, optional Google Drive backups, optional device-security protection, advertising, and paid features.

Features may vary by device, Android version, region, purchase status, permissions, third-party-service availability, and App update.

4. Limited licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on compatible devices that you own or control for lawful personal or internal business record-keeping. No ownership interest in the App or its source code is transferred to you.

5. Financial and professional disclaimer

• Record-keeping only: Personal Ledger is not a bank, payment service, lender, insurer, broker, accountant, tax preparer, investment adviser, financial adviser, or legal adviser.
• No professional advice: App calculations, summaries, charts, reports, reminders, and suggestions are informational tools and are not financial, accounting, tax, investment, or legal advice.
• No bank connection: The App does not independently verify records against your bank, card issuer, employer, office, fund provider, or other institution.
• Your verification responsibility: You are responsible for checking entries, balances, classifications, carried-forward amounts, reports, attachments, and calculations before relying on or sharing them.
• Official records: The App is not guaranteed to satisfy tax, audit, employment, regulatory, evidentiary, or statutory record-retention requirements. Obtain professional advice where appropriate.

6. Your data and records

6.1 Ownership and control

You retain your rights in the financial records, names, notes, receipt files, logos, and other content you enter or select (“User Content”). You permit the App to process User Content only as needed to provide features you request, such as calculations, reports, backup, restore, or sharing.

6.2 Local storage and limited telemetry

Detailed ledger records and receipt attachments are primarily stored in the App’s private storage on your device. The App does not intentionally upload detailed account/category names, ledger notes, receipt files, split details, financial amounts, or currency selections to a separate MosTech Zone server for analytics. Google services integrated into the App may process limited app-usage, advertising, device, performance, crash, purchase, configuration, and notification information as described in the Privacy Policy.

6.3 Optional Google Drive backup

If you enable or initiate Google Drive backup, the App packages the local database and stored receipt attachments into a backup archive and transfers it to the App’s private application-data folder in the Google account you select. Google, rather than MosTech Zone, operates that storage service. The App requests access only to its own Google Drive application-data files, not general access to your personal Drive documents.

The backup archive is not represented as separately end-to-end encrypted by Personal Ledger. You are responsible for protecting your device and Google account and for deciding whether cloud backup is appropriate for your information.

6.4 Deletion and reset

• Individual records and supported attachments may be edited or deleted using available App controls.
• Full System Reset permanently removes Personal Ledger data stored locally on the device and restarts the App as a new installation.
• Full System Reset does not delete Google Drive backups. Cloud backups must be deleted separately using Delete Google Backup Files.
• Deleting existing cloud backups is available regardless of current Pro or subscription status.
• Google Sign-In for backup does not create a separate Personal Ledger or MosTech Zone user account.

6.5 Data loss

Although the App provides backup and restore tools, no storage or backup method is guaranteed. Data may be lost or damaged because of user action, device loss or failure, operating-system changes, storage corruption, insufficient space, App removal, credential loss, Google-service changes, network failure, incompatible or incomplete backups, or other causes. Maintain appropriate independent copies of important records and verify backups and restored information.

7. Reports, exports, attachments, and sharing

PDF/CSV reports, backup archives, and shared receipt files may contain sensitive financial or personal information. You are responsible for reviewing files, selecting an appropriate destination and recipient, protecting exported files, and deleting copies that are no longer needed. Once you direct another app, person, cloud provider, or service to receive a file, its handling is governed by that recipient’s practices and is outside our control.

8. Device security and reminders

Optional App lock and destructive-action verification may use Android device security, including a fingerprint, face, PIN, pattern, or password where supported. MosTech Zone does not receive your biometric template or device credential. You remain responsible for device security and for access granted to other device users.

Notifications and recurring-transaction reminders are convenience features. Delivery or timing is not guaranteed and may be affected by device settings, battery optimization, permissions, operating-system restrictions, time-zone changes, or third-party services. Do not rely on the App as the only reminder for bills, legal deadlines, repayments, renewals, or other important obligations.

9. Free and Pro subscription features

9.1 Purchases

Paid Pro features are currently offered through automatically renewing monthly and yearly subscriptions processed through Google Play. The price, currency, billing period, applicable taxes, introductory offer, renewal terms, and final charge are displayed in the Google Play purchase flow before confirmation. A subscription is not required to use the available free portions of the App.

9.2 Automatic renewal and cancellation

Unless Google Play identifies a plan as prepaid or non-renewing, subscriptions renew automatically for the displayed billing period until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the App’s subscription-management link or the Google Play Subscription Center. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.

Unless applicable law or Google Play provides otherwise, cancellation takes effect after the current paid billing period, and access continues until that period ends.

9.3 Refunds and billing issues

Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refund requests are processed under applicable Google Play policies and law. Eligibility is not guaranteed merely because the App has been uninstalled or a paid feature was not used. See Google Play refund guidance. Nothing in these Terms limits a refund or remedy required by applicable consumer law.

9.4 Entitlements and availability

The App verifies paid subscription status through Google Play and may require an internet connection to purchase, renew, or restore an entitlement.

Users may obtain temporary Pro access by voluntarily completing a rewarded advertisement. The duration of temporary access is controlled by MosTech Zone and displayed in the App. Rewarded access depends on advertisement availability and is not guaranteed.

During an active rewarded Pro session, users may access Pro App features and use the App without advertisements for the allowed period. However, reports generated by free users or during rewarded Pro access retain the Personal Ledger watermark. Free users may add a business name and logo to reports, while an active paid Pro subscription enables reports without the Personal Ledger watermark.

Creating, restoring, or scheduling Google Drive backups requires an active Pro entitlement, including a valid temporary rewarded Pro session. Deleting existing Google Drive backup files remains available regardless of subscription or Pro status.

9.5 Subscription price changes

Subscription prices may change because of changes to App features, operating costs, taxes, exchange rates, Google Play requirements, or other legitimate business reasons. Google Play will provide advance notice and request any consent required by applicable law or Google Play policy before a changed price applies to a future renewal. Users may cancel before the changed price takes effect.

10. Advertising

The free version may display advertising supplied by Google Mobile Ads/AdMob, including banner, native, interstitial, or rewarded ads. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on region, consent, device settings, and Google’s rules. Where required, the App provides advertising privacy choices through Google’s User Messaging Platform.

You must not fraudulently click ads, automate ad interactions, manipulate rewarded-ad completion, or interfere with advertising measurement.

11. Third-party services

The App may use services supplied by Google LLC, including Google Play services, Google Play Billing, Google Sign-In, Google Drive API, Google Mobile Ads/AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Firebase In-App Messaging.

Third-party services may change, become unavailable, impose separate terms, or process information under their own policies. Relevant resources include:

• Firebase Privacy and Security
• Google AdMob policies and guidance

12. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the App for an unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or rights-infringing purpose;
• attempt to bypass payment, licensing, subscription, advertising, access-control, or security mechanisms;
• introduce malware, interfere with operation, overload services, or attempt unauthorized access;
• copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the App except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits such activity notwithstanding this restriction;
• remove copyright, trademark, attribution, or proprietary notices; or
• use the App or reports to impersonate another person, fabricate evidence, or misrepresent financial information.

13. Intellectual property

The App—including its software, design, interface, trademarks, logos, graphics, documentation, and developer-provided content—is owned by MosTech Zone or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant permission to use MosTech Zone names, logos, or branding except as displayed through ordinary use of the App.

14. Updates, compatibility, and availability

We may provide updates, corrections, security improvements, interface changes, or feature changes. Some updates may be necessary for continued use, compatibility, security, billing, backups, or third-party-service support. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain compatible with every device, operating-system version, third-party service, or file created by an older version.

We may suspend or discontinue a feature or related online service where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, technical limitations, third-party-service changes, or product operation. Where reasonably practicable, material changes affecting paid recurring benefits will be communicated appropriately. Mandatory consumer rights and already-accrued rights are not excluded.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and related services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, perfect accuracy, compatibility with every device, delivery of every reminder or message, availability of advertisements or third-party services, successful export or backup, or recovery of lost data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MosTech Zone will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the App, including loss caused by inaccurate entries, financial decisions, missed reminders, data loss, backup or restore failure, exported-file disclosure, device compromise, or third-party-service interruption.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

17. Ending use of the App

You may stop using the App at any time and may delete local data before uninstalling. Uninstalling does not automatically delete exported files, Google Drive backups, or cancel a Google Play subscription. Use the relevant deletion and subscription-management controls separately.

We may restrict access to related online services where reasonably necessary because of unlawful use, fraud, security threats, legal requirements, or material breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect App changes, legal requirements, security practices, third-party services, or business operations. The revised page will show a new “Last updated” date. Where required by law or appropriate for a material change, we will provide additional notice through the App, website, or store listing. Your continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the App.

19. Governing law and consumer rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. However, if mandatory consumer-protection or jurisdiction laws in your country give you rights or remedies that cannot be waived, those rights and remedies continue to apply.

20. General provisions

• Entire agreement: These Terms and the incorporated Privacy Policy form the agreement concerning your use of the App, in addition to terms imposed by Google Play or another applicable service.
• Severability: If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue.
• No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other right.
• Assignment: You may not transfer these Terms or your App licence without our consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a legitimate reorganisation, merger, sale, or transfer of the App, subject to applicable law.
• Headings: Headings are provided for readability and do not limit the meaning of a provision.
