Terms and Conditions for MosTech News Portal BD

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using MosTech News Portal BD ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the App.


2. Description of Service

MosTech News Portal BD is a news aggregator application designed to help users access news from Bangladesh and around the world through publicly available news sources, APIs, and third-party publisher websites.

Depending on the App version, availability, subscription plan, and supported content, the App may provide features including:

  • Access to Bangla, English, and international news sources
  • News headlines and links to full articles
  • Listen Mode using text-to-speech (TTS)
  • AI-powered article summaries
  • Translation of supported AI-generated summaries
  • Reader Mode for supported articles
  • Offline reading and listening of saved supported content
  • Custom newspaper and news website links
  • Optional premium subscriptions and AI Summary Credit Packs

Certain features may require an active internet connection, compatible device or software, third-party services, a subscription, or purchased credits.


3. News Aggregator Disclaimer

MosTech News Portal BD is a news aggregator. MosTech Zone does not create, edit, independently verify, or publish third-party news articles displayed or accessed through the App.

News headlines, articles, images, and other third-party content are obtained from or accessed through publicly available sources, APIs, and publisher websites. The availability, accuracy, completeness, reliability, and timeliness of such content are the responsibility of the respective publishers or content providers.

Inclusion of a news source in the App does not imply endorsement of that source or its views by MosTech Zone.


4. Third-Party News Content and Intellectual Property

All third-party news articles, headlines, images, videos, logos, trademarks, brand names, and other copyrighted materials remain the property of their respective publishers, authors, licensors, or copyright owners.

MosTech News Portal BD does not claim ownership of third-party news content.

The App's own software, original design elements, branding, logos, graphics, and other content created by MosTech Zone are owned by MosTech Zone or its applicable licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.


5. Third-Party Websites and External Links

The App may contain links to or display content from third-party news websites and services. When you access an external website, your use of that website is subject to the website operator's own terms, privacy policy, cookie policy, and other applicable rules.

MosTech Zone does not control and is not responsible for the availability, security, privacy practices, accuracy, content, or operation of third-party websites and services.

Users access third-party websites and content at their own discretion.


6. AI-Powered News Summaries

MosTech News Portal BD may provide AI-powered summaries of supported news articles for convenience and informational purposes.

  • AI-generated summaries may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or incomplete context.
  • A summary should not be considered an exact or complete representation of the original article.
  • AI summaries are not intended to replace the original news article or publisher.
  • Users should refer to the original article for complete, accurate, and authoritative information.
  • The availability and quality of AI summaries may depend on the source article, language, AI service, internet connection, and other technical factors.

MosTech Zone does not guarantee that AI-generated summaries will always be accurate, complete, available, or suitable for any particular purpose.


7. Listen Mode and Reader Mode

Listen Mode: The App may use text-to-speech (TTS) technology available on the user's device to read supported headlines, articles, and summaries aloud. The availability, pronunciation, voice quality, and supported languages may depend on the TTS engine installed or selected on the user's device.

Reader Mode: The App may provide a simplified reading view for supported publicly available article content to improve readability and reduce distractions.

Listen Mode and Reader Mode are convenience features only. Their use does not transfer ownership of any third-party article or content to MosTech Zone or the user. All rights to the original content remain with the respective publishers and copyright owners.


8. Offline Content and Saved Articles

The App may allow users to save supported articles, AI-generated summaries, or other supported content for offline reading or listening.

Offline availability is provided for user convenience and is not guaranteed permanently. Content may become unavailable or may need to be removed if the original publisher changes or removes the content, access conditions change, technical limitations occur, or legal or licensing requirements apply.

Users are responsible for managing content saved locally on their devices. Clearing App data or uninstalling the App may permanently remove locally saved content.


9. Custom News Sources and User-Added Links

MosTech News Portal BD may allow users to add custom newspaper, media, or website links.

Users are responsible for the links they add and the content they access through those links. MosTech Zone does not monitor, verify, approve, or endorse user-added websites or their content.

Users must not use the custom link feature to access or promote content in violation of applicable laws or the rights of others.


10. Premium Features and Subscriptions

MosTech News Portal BD may offer optional paid subscription plans through Google Play.

Basic Pro may include features such as:

  • Ad-free experience
  • Listen Mode (TTS)
  • Reader Mode
  • Offline reading and listening
  • Other advanced reading features

Premium Pro may include all Basic Pro features together with expanded or unlimited access to AI Summary Generation, subject to applicable service terms, technical limitations, fair-use measures, and service availability.

Subscription plans may be offered on a monthly or yearly basis. Current pricing, billing periods, included features, and applicable terms are displayed within the App or on Google Play before purchase.

  • Payments: Subscription payments are processed through Google Play.
  • Renewals: Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled according to the terms displayed by Google Play at the time of purchase.
  • Cancellations: Users can manage or cancel subscriptions through their Google Play account.
  • Refunds: Refund requests and eligibility are subject to Google Play's applicable refund and billing policies.

11. AI Summary Credit Packs

MosTech News Portal BD may offer optional AI Summary Credit Packs as an alternative to a Premium Pro subscription.

Purchased credits may be used to generate eligible AI-powered article summaries according to the credit requirements displayed in the App at the time of use.

The price, number of credits included, and applicable usage conditions will be displayed before purchase.

Purchases are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's applicable billing and refund policies.

Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or sold to another user. Availability and use of credits may depend on the continued availability of the App and its AI summary services.


12. Advertising

Free or otherwise eligible versions of MosTech News Portal BD may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob or other approved advertising services.

Advertising availability and personalization may depend on your region, device settings, consent choices, and applicable laws.

Paid subscription plans advertised as "Ad-Free" will generally remove advertisements controlled directly by MosTech News Portal BD. This does not necessarily affect advertising or promotional content displayed independently on third-party news websites accessed through the App.


13. Third-Party Services

MosTech News Portal BD may rely on third-party services to provide or support certain features. These may include:

  • Google Play Services: Supports Android functionality, compatibility, security, purchases, and subscriptions.
  • Google Firebase: May support app functionality, cloud-based summary storage and retrieval, configuration, notifications, diagnostics, and performance.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Helps identify crashes and technical problems to improve App stability.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging: May be used for app announcements, updates, service information, and promotional notifications.
  • Firebase Remote Config: May be used to manage selected features, settings, availability, and promotional offers.
  • Google AdMob: May provide advertisements in eligible versions of the App.
  • Google Play Billing: Processes eligible subscriptions and in-app purchases.
  • AI Service Providers: May process supported article content to generate requested AI summaries.
  • News APIs and Publishers: Provide or host publicly available news headlines, articles, and related content.

Third-party services are subject to their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and operating requirements. MosTech Zone is not responsible for interruptions, changes, or discontinuation of services controlled by third parties.


14. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities

Users agree not to:

  • Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes.
  • Attempt to bypass subscription, licensing, payment, credit, or access-control mechanisms.
  • Modify, tamper with, or distribute unauthorized versions of the App.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App, servers, APIs, AI services, security mechanisms, or related infrastructure.
  • Use automated methods to abuse AI summary generation or place unreasonable loads on the App or its services.
  • Use the App in a way that violates third-party intellectual property rights or applicable laws.

15. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or permanent availability of the App or any specific feature.

News sources, publisher websites, APIs, AI services, Firebase services, advertisements, subscriptions, and other third-party services may become unavailable, experience interruptions, or change without notice.

We reserve the right to add, modify, suspend, limit, replace, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for technical, operational, legal, security, business, or policy reasons.


16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MosTech News Portal BD is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the App, news content, AI summaries, translations, Listen Mode, Reader Mode, offline content, or third-party services will always be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available.

Users should verify important information directly with the original news publisher or other authoritative sources.


17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MosTech Zone and the developer of MosTech News Portal BD shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of or inability to use the App.

This includes, where permitted by law, losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete third-party news content, AI-generated summaries, translations, unavailable news sources, deleted or unavailable offline content, service interruptions, third-party websites, AI service failures, or other third-party service interruptions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.


18. Termination

Users may stop using MosTech News Portal BD at any time by uninstalling the App.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or discontinue access to certain App features or related online services when reasonably necessary due to misuse, security concerns, legal requirements, policy violations, technical issues, or discontinuation of a service.

Termination or discontinuation does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund except where required by applicable law or Google Play's applicable policies.


19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that may apply to you under the laws of your country or region.


20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in App features, subscription plans, technologies, third-party services, legal requirements, or business practices.

Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Where required, additional notice may be provided through the App.

Your continued use of the App after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
